Le Lot

A very long river, over 480 km long, the Lot rises in Mont Lozère in the south of the Massif Central and flows through five départements to its confluence with the Garonne at Aiguillon. The Lot takes you right to the heart of the department, where it joins the Garonne to form a confluence.

The Lot takes you right to the heart of the department, where it joins Dame Garonne to form a confluence. Here, too, you're bound to fall under the spell of the many bastides and villages of character, such as Montpezat-d?Agenais and Saint-Sardos, where you can discover the spark that marked the beginning of the Hundred Years' War. But here, nature dominates. Along the Véloroute de la Vallée du Lot, a network of small, gently sloping roads ideal for family outings, you'll find yourself surrounded by gourmet farms, vineyards, ancient towns and remarkable gardens.
